This victory marks another historic achievement for the French club, solidifying their position among Europe’s elite football teams.
Following the triumph, thousands of supporters gathered across various locations in Paris, France, on Saturday evening local time to celebrate their team’s success. What began as a joyous atmosphere filled with chants and celebrations soon took a dark turn as unrest broke out in several parts of the city.
Reports indicate that groups of fans set fires at multiple points, damaging public property and blocking roads. Tensions escalated further as clashes erupted between supporters and law enforcement officers deployed to maintain public order. In an effort to disperse the unruly crowd and restore safety, police forces responded by firing tear gas into the masses.
According to official data released by the French Ministry of the Interior, the nationwide unrest resulted in a total of 326 arrests across the country.
